What I used to do, before the save-draft feature was very pleasantly implemented, was copy and paste what I was writing into a text editor (I have a program over here called KWrite, similar to Windows's Notepad), and save it as I was going along. That way, if the net crashes, or I insanely delete what I've written (remembering, Natalie, that I can tend to write quite a lot), I have a sort of backup, which I can copy and paste from. But now I don't bother with that, because blog.co.uk nicely saves drafts from time to time. Does it do that for you, or is it a special feature for Founder (and Pro) Members like moi?

Hmm... write, write, write. I want to see what you can write.

Maybe just divine intervention? Probably just human behaviour.... but think what you had to do when writing with a pen and then send it in the snail post!!!!
